Here's a look at Utah, which hosts Oregon State on Saturday afternoon in a Pac-12 game.
The Utes are 14-6 overall and 5-3 in conference after a 73-67 home loss to Oregon. Utah's three losses have come against the Pac-12's top three teams by a combined 16 points, including a one-point home defeat to UCLA.
Junior forward Kyle Kuzma is the Utes' leading scorer at 15.4 points per game. He also averages 9.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
David Collette, another junior forward and a transfer from Utah State, averages 14.4 points and 5.5 rebounds.
He's missed 10 games due to injury. In the 10 games he's played, he's scored at least 10 points and shot 50 percent or better in each.
Collette has not scored 20 points in a game, but five teammates have.
The Utes also get contributions from senior guard Lorenzo Bonam (135 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3 assists), freshman forward Devon Daniels (11.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists) and sophomore guard Sedrick Barefield (11.3 points).
Collette, Bonam and Daniels are all shooting better than 60 percent from the field in Pac-12 play.
In conference games, Utah is first in field goal percentage (53.4) and defensive rebounds (28.5), second in 3-point percentage defense (28.5), third in field goal percentage defense (42.4) and 11th in free throw percentage (62.4) and offensive rebounds (7.9).
Also in Pac-12 games, Barefield is first in free throw percentage (89.5), Daniels is second in 3-point percentage (62.5), Kuzma is third in rebounds (9.6), Bonam is third in field goal percentage (63.4) and Collette fourth in field goal percentage (63.0).
Utes head coach Larry Krystkowiak and Oregon State head coach Wayne Tinkle played together and later coached together at Montana.
Krystkowiak was a three-time Big Sky Conference player of the year and is the Grizzlies' all-time leader in points and rebounds.
He's in his sixth year at Utah after two years as Montana's head coach. He's taken four teams to the NCAA tournament, including each of the past two seasons.
