LMU (4-2) is coming off a 87-66 home win against Cal State LA in Los Angeles.

Eli Scott had 17 points and seven rebounds, Zafir Wiliams 16 points and seven rebounds and James Batemon seven points, seven rebounds and 12 assists.

Batemon, a junior guard, leads the team in scoring at 14.8 points per game. He also averages 5.3 rebounds and five assists. Scott, a freshman forward, is averaging 14.5 points and 7.3 rebounds and senior wing Steven Haney 12 points.

LMU's big man, 7-foot-3 junior center Mattias Markusson, from Sweden, averages 7.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.

In a preseason coaches poll, the Lions were picked to finish 10th in the 10-team West Coast Conference. They lost four starters off the 2016-17 team that went 15-15 overall and 8-10 in WCC play.

LMU's head coach is Mike Dunlap, who is in his fourth year in that position. He's 41-57 overall and 18-36 in conference with the Lions.

Dunlap's previous head coaching tenures have included USC (1986-89), Australia's Adelaide 36ers (1994-97), Metro State (1997-2006) and the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats (2012-13). He's also been an associate head coach at Arizona and Oregon.
