March of the Munchkins and Cheadle Lake Paddle

Saturday March 10 2018, 9:00am

Cheadle Lake North Shore Trail Head

Build Lebanon Trails is excited to announce our first 2 in 1 community event!  On Saturday March 10, 2018 at 9:00am we will kick off spring with both a kayak or canoe paddle on Cheadle Lake as well as our first March of the Munchkins.

Kids of all ages are invited to dress up in a costume or uniform representing exploration or outdoor activities.  Children (under 18) who dress up will receive a BLT token and a copy of our Lebanon Explorer’s Guide. The Lebanon Strawberry Princesses will be present to hand out costume prizes.

The march will proceed along the paved portion of the North Shore Trail and we will look at the plant life, wildlife and search for the rare Oregon Pond turtles that live at the lake.

Strollers, wagons, tricycles and small bikes with training wheels are welcome.  Children on bicycles are required to wear a helmet.

For those who enjoy being out on the water, we will explore the lake water trail. Bring your kayaks, canoes or other non-motorized human propelled water craft and enjoy the history of the development of Cheadle Lake Park from a different perspective.

We will launch our flotilla from the north shore boat launch.  Please arrive before 8:45am so that we can begin our water adventure at 9:00.  Life vests are required for all persons in water craft.

Dress appropriately for the weather.

Please no dogs at this event due to the anticipated participation of small children.
