Physician Assistant Jessica Bell recently joined Samaritan Gynecology & Surgical Associates in Corvallis.
Bell earned bachelor’s degrees in biology and psychology from Central Washington University and a master’s degree from Heritage University Physician Assistant Educational Program. She served on the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board to the Commissioners of Kittitas County from 2003 to 2012, most recently as chairperson.
Bell is a Pacific Northwest native, growing up in Long Beach, Washington.

Adam T. Waterman joined The Corvallis Clinic’s Immediate Care Center in mid-November.
A family medicine physician, Waterman comes to the clinic from the Bangor Health Clinic at U.S. Naval Hospital Bremerton in Bremerton, Washington, where he practiced in 2016 and 2017. He also practiced in the Family Medicine Department at U.S. Naval Hospital Guam from 2013 to 2016.
Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, he separated from the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant commander.
Waterman’s stint as a Navy corpsman from 1997 to 2002 sparked in him a desire to become a physician. He completed his residency at Naval Hospital Bremerton in 2013, and he earned a Doctor of Osteopathy from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri, in 2010. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 2006.
Realty agency adds broker
HFO Investment Real Estate has hired Adam Staton-Smith for a newly-created broker position.
Staton-Smith represents multifamily owners in real estate transactions for Albany, Corvallis, Salem, Eugene/Springfield, Bend and the surrounding areas. HFO’s recent mid-valley transactions include 36-unit Heritage Hills in Salem ($2.8 million), 28-unit Cherry Lane in Salem ($1.6 million) and 34-unit New Heritage in Keizer ($3.3 million).
Staton-Smith, born and raised in Corvallis, comes to HFO from Nike, where for six years he managed retail store openings in the United States and abroad. Prior to that, he was project lead at Nordstrom.
Prior to becoming a licensed Oregon real estate broker, Staton-Smith earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Portland.

Northwest Community Credit Union in Albany recently announced the promotion of human resources director Lucille M. Valley to the position of chief administrative officer.
Valley has more than 20 years of senior management and corporate functional experience in diverse industries, including banking and financial services. Prior to NWCU, she provided HR consulting at Oregon State University.
Hanson Insurance Group of Corvallis recently announced it has acquired and will merge Corvallis Insurance Services and Stineff Insurance Services of Monmouth into the Hanson Insurance Group name.
Both entities are independent agencies with a history of serving Mid-Willamette Valley clients. The purchase will keep the business local and expand insurance carrier choices available to current customers.
