Sophomore forward Daniel Gomis has not practiced or played since a nasty fall a few weeks ago.
He apparently tweaked a knee in the fall and was on crutches about two weeks ago.
Gomis was walking around at practice on Monday. He did not participate, but did help a teammate with a shooting drill near the end of the workout.
By law, coach Craig Robinson is not allowed to comment on Gomis’ injury, but did say that the Beavers are not sure when he will be cleared to play.
It’s been tough going for Gomis, who missed last season to recover from a broken leg. He was practicing regularly throughout the season.
Gomis will get the OK once his leg and knee are good to go.
In the meantime, Gomis will make the trip to New York with the team.
“We’ll know one way or another soon,” Robinson said. “Probably by the time we get back.
“It looks like he’s feeling good, so we have our fingers crossed.”
