Interesting link of the day is this report that Oregon State football coach Mike Riley is interviewing at Wisconsin. Beside it not being true, it’s funny how that comes up all the time.

Riley was talking earlier this week how he loves it in Corvallis and plans to retire at OSU yet again. Even Wisconsin can't buy him out of his eight-year contract. And if he's not leaving for USC, he's not leaving for Wisconsin.

Now, interest in DC Mark Banker is possible.

Here’s my story on RB Storm Woods that ran in Friday’s GT. He’s obviously excited to play in the Alamo Bowl, being from up the road in Austin.

But did you know he’s a Texas A&M fan? He doesn’t like the Longhorns.

Here’s my full story on WR Richard Mullaney (shoulder) and WR Brandin Cooks (knee).

SEC officials will run the Alamo Bowl. Here’s a link to the full breakdown of bowls and who is officiating them.

I noted on Twitter/cliffgt yesterday that the BCS title game is going to a train wreck with Pac-12 officials in charge.

Here’s a link to an interview with OSU QB recruit Luke Del Rio, who was visiting campus this week. He received preferred walk-on status at Alabama. His main other choice is the Beavers after de-committing from Oklahoma State.

Tickets are going fast for the Longhorns. OSU has sold about 6,000 of the 9,500 allotment. There are two sold out charter flights to San Antonio.

“We are very pleased with the response of Beaver Nation,” said Steve Fenk, associate AD for athletic communication. “All and all, pretty good representation considering the airfare obstacle.”

And check out this OSU video about the running backs this year.
